Policy think tank IMANI Africa’s President, has accused President Akufo-Addo of shielding corrupt appointees of his government.
According to Franklin Cudjoe , the President instead of setting better examples by punishing appointees who have committed bigger crime of corruption, is doing the opposite.
Mr Cudjoe who has been battling the Communications Minister, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful over a contract she signed with IT firm, Kilni GVG costing the taxpayer a whooping $178million, said the President who campaigned on the mantra of fighting corruption, is killing ants with a sledgehammer while those with bigger sins are left off the hook.
He regretted the past saying his outfit’s constant criticisms of others [NDC] were wasted effort.
“Selective Corruption. Some have been hanged for small change. The mighty ones are being shepherded into the hall of fame of infamy. We wasted our time fighting others”, he posted on his facebook timeline yesterday.
It will be recalled about a week ago, President Akufo-Addo ousted four institutional heads namely: Korle-bu Teaching Hospital, Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST), Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) and Ghana Ports and Habours Authority (GPHA). Policy think tankKelni-GVG.
